Gloria Hendry is an American actress, singer, producer, director, writer, known for pioneering Independent Filmmaking “IFM,” aka 70’s Black Renaissance, and aka Black Exploitation films. Gloria is best known as Rosie Carver in 007 Bond, “Live and Let Die,” an Ian Fleming, Guy Hamilton, Harry Saltzman, Albert Broccoli film; and Gloria made her mark acting in runaway action packed successes that today are three Turner Classic films: “Black Caesar,” “Black Belt Jones,” and “Savage Sisters;” later in a Charlie Matthau film, “Freaky Deaky;” and Brenda Jackson and Tosca Musk’s “A Brother’s Honor;” and Robert Parham’s “Snow Black;” and Kamau Bell’s “Cosby Documentary;” Gloria produced and wrote Musicals, “Lady Day,” based on Billie Holiday, and “Black Muse Inside Out,” “Glamour Girl;” and produced and performed her Jazz Bond Song Concerts in USA and abroad. The latest, Gloria has authored an autobiography, titled, “Gloria Hendry, 007 Bond, Bunny and Black Renaissance “IFM,” and recently produced her album and videotape of A Jazz Concert with the Infamous Jimmy McConnell Big Bad Band to tour.
